Priorities and funded actions

Objective

To support projects that will translate, publish, distribute, and promote European works of fiction.

Priorities

  • Priority 1 : to strengthen the transnational circulation and diversity of European literary work
  • Priority 2 : to encourage the translation, publication, and promotion of works of fiction written in less widely spoken languages to increase their distribution in wider markets in Europe and beyond
  • Priority 3 : to help develop and reach a large readership especially young people.
  • Priority 4 : to promote and preserve the profession of literary translator, including the principles of good working conditions and fair remuneration
  • Priority 5 : to contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of the book sector by encouraging cooperation between different actors within the book value chain notably booksellers and libraries
  • Priority 6 : to provide support to Ukraine in the field of books

  • Translation, publication, promotion, and distribution activities
  • Other activities addressing the priorities described above

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.
  • Initial duration of the action: up to 36 months
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 5 million euro
  • Amount of the grant:
    • up to 200.000 euro for single applications
    • up to 300.000 for proposals submitted by a consortium
  • Co-financing rate: 60% of the total eligible cost

This grant is a lump sum grant.
