Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To support excellence in higher education institutions, making them world leaders in training the digital specialists of the future and to increase the capactiy of the educational offer in the area of advanced digital skills
  • To have more cybersecurity professionals who meet increasing market needs and legal obligations
  • To deliver insights into the changing advanced digital skills demands in the EU, by gathering inputs on the existing education and training offers in the area of advanced digital skills and to what extent the current education and training offers match the needs of the current and future labour market

Among financed activities

  • Traning programmes for SMEs, start-ups and the public sector for the Cybersecurity Skills Academy
  • Support operations of the Cybersecurity Skills Academy
  • Mapping exercises, collect information on the advanced digital skills needed by companies and the public sector related to different advanced digital technologies (e.g. AI) and to specific sectors (e.g. health)
  • Focus groups, structured interviews or surveys

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.
  • Initial duration of the action:
    • 48 months for topic DIGITAL-2023-SKILLS-05-SPECIALISED-EDU
    • 36 months for topic DIGITAL-2023-SKILLS-05-CYBERACADEMY
    • 48 months for topic DIGITAL-2023-SKILLS-05-SPECIAL-PROGEDU

  • Be a public or private entity
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 42 million euro
  • Amount per topics:
    • DIGITAL-2023-SKILLS-05-SPECIALISED-EDU: 30 million euro
    • DIGITAL-2023-SKILLS-05-CYBERACADEMY: 10 million euro
    • DIGITAL-2023-SKILLS-05-SPECIAL-PROGEDU: 2 million euro
  • Amount of the grant per topics:
    • DIGITAL-2023-SKILLS-05-SPECIALISED-EDU: up to 10 million euro per project
    • DIGITAL-2023-SKILLS-05-CYBERACADEMY: up to 4 million euro per project under Activity 1 and up to 2 million euro per project under Activity 2
    • DIGITAL-2023-SKILLS-05-SPECIAL-PROGEDU: 2 million euro per project
  • Co-financing rate: 50% of the total eligible costs

This grant is a lump sum grant.
