Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To create systemic impact in higher education at the institutional level, by supporting higher education institutions (HEIs) to strengthen their innovation and entrepreneurial capacity and integrate into and engage with innovation ecosystems

Priorities

  • Priority 1: to increase the entrepreneurial and innovation capacity of higher education institutions across Europe by promoting and supporting institutional change in higher education institutions
  • Priority 2: to strengthen the integration and contribution of higher education institutions to innovation ecosystems

  • To foster institutional engagement and change
  • To strengthen partnerships (knowledge triangle integration)
  • To contribute to develop innovations and businesses
  • To enhance the quality of innovation and entrepreneurial education
  • To share the knowledge

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: 3 years

Eligibility

  • Be a legal entity
  • Be an Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)
  • Be a public or private, small, medium or large enterprises (including social enterprises)
  • Be a Research institute
  • Be a public body at local, regional or national level
  • Be an intermediary organisation or association which represent Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)
  • Be established in one of the Horizon Europe eligible countries
  • Non-Horizon Europe eligible countries may participate as associated partners, but they are not eligible for HEI Initiative funding
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 12 million euro
  • Amont of the grant: 750.000 euro for each HEI project
    • For phase 1: 350.000 euro per project
    • For phase 2: 400.000 euro per project
  • Co-financing rate: up to 100% of the total eligible costs
