Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To identify, develop, test and/or assess innovative (policy) approaches that have the potential of becoming mainstreamed, thus improving education and training systems
  • To accompany and support partnerships in designing and implementing the necessary actions to facilitate the rollout of the joint European degree label
  • To develop leadership capabilities enabling transformative change in the higher education sector in Europe

Priorities

  • Priority 1: focus on embedding the joint European degree label into national and regional education systems and legal environment
  • Priority 2: conduct targeted communication and promotion
  • Priority 3: enabling leaders to guide their institutions through the green and digital transitions
  • Priority 4: encourage academic freedom, sustainability, diversity and transnational cooperation, while ensuring balanced participation

Among financed actions

  • Training and capacity building
  • Individual and organisational learning
  • Design and implement procedures
  • Institutional visits, job shadowing and/or events with experts

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies);
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries, i.e.:
    • Erasmus+ Programme Countries:
      • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs))
      • non-EU countries:
  • Any public or private organisation active in the fields of education or training.
  • For higher education institutions (HEIs) established in Erasmus+ Programme Countries: be holders of the ECHE certificate
  • A consortium composed of
    • at least 2 entities, which complies different conditions (see details on the call document) must be constituted (ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PI-FORWARD-HE-EDPP)
    • at least 2 entities, which complies different conditions (see details on the call document) must be constituted (ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PI-FORWARD-HE-LD)

  • Initial duration of the action: 24 months

Extensions are possible, if duly justified and through an amendment.

Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 8 million euros
  • Budget per topic:
    • ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PI-FORWARD-HE-EDPP : 7 million euros
    • ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PI-FORWARD-HE-LD : 1 million euros
  • Amount of the grant per topic:
    • ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PI-FORWARD-HE-EDPP : between 500.000 and 800.000 euros
    • ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PI-FORWARD-HE-LD : up to 1 million euros
  • The grant awarded may be lower than the amount requested.
  • Funding rate: up to 85% of the total eligible costs

This grant is a lump sum grant.
