Priorities and funded actions

Objectives
* Strategic Project 1: Capacity-building and promotion of dialogue and synergies among actors in the blue bioeconomy value chain
– Coordinated capacity building in sub-areas of the blue bioeconomy;
– Triggering inter-regional innovation along Blue Biotechnology value chains

* Strategic Project 2: Improving the governance of innovation policies in the MED countries to promote smart specialisation in the blue bio-economy
– Strengthening the capacity to design and implement multi-level innovation policies and actions for the blue bioeconomy;
– Strengthening the innovation ecosystem of the Blue bioeconomy; and

Priorities
* Strategic Project 1 :
– Enhancing the innovation capacity within the innovation ecosystem of the MED Blue bio-economy and its ability to seize opportunities at European and international level;
– Improve the capacity to stimulate the innovation potential of blue biotechnologies along selected value chains at the Mediterranean level.

* Strategic Project 2 :
– Strengthen the innovation ecosystem of the blue bio-economy in the MED area by mobilising the main actors;
– Strengthen the innovation ecosystem of the MED blue bioeconomy and its capacities;
– Increase the contribution of the innovation ecosystem of the MED Blue bioeconomy to the MED SDOs.

* Overall management of the implementation of project activities;
* Technical activities related to the involvement and coordination of partners;
* Administrative activities;
* Communication to stakeholders and the public;
* Promotion of project activities and results;
* Project communication strategy;
* Activities implemented to achieve the expected results and objectives;
* Actions to foster local/regional/national sustainable development of the blue bio-economy, participation, capacity building, innovative pilot actions, etc.;
* Actions to foster local/regional/national sustainable development of the blue bio-economy, participation, capacity building, innovative pilot actions, etc.;
* Actions to foster local/regional/national sustainable development of the blue bio-economy.

Additional information
* This call for proposals is an open call for proposals

* The consortium cannot be composed of more than 10 entities

* Duration of the action: up to 22 months

* Eligibility:
– Be a public authority;
– Be included in the short list of potential partners validated by the Monitoring Committee of the Interreg MED Programme11;
– Be physically based in one of the EU participating States participating in the Interreg MED Programme12;
– Be in a position to implement or influence policies and governance actions at national/transnational level

* The action must take place in regions members of the INTERREG Mediterranean area

Financement

* Amount of grant: between EUR 1,5 and 1,6 million

* Co-financing rate for partners: up to 85%
