Priorities and funded actions

Objective
* To support voluntary activities carried out in groups of young people from at least two different countries coming together to express solidarity by implementing short-term high-impact interventions that address societal challenges in policy areas defined each year at EU level

Priorities
* Response to environmental and climate challenges (excluding immediate disaster response);
* Projects building inclusive societies including through bridging the intergenerational and social divide or addressing challenges linked to geographical remoteness;
* Projects aimed at improving mental health and well-being

Amongst financed actions
* Volunteering teams;
* Advance planning visits;
* Complementary activities: workshops, conferences, seminars, training courses, job shadowing, coaching, etc.

* This call for proposals is an open call for proposals

* Initial duration of the action:
– Volunteering teams activities: between 2 weeks and 2 months;
– Advance planning visits: up to 2 days

* Eligibility:
– Any public or private body may apply for funding within the European Solidarity Corps. In addition, groups of young people registered in the European Solidarity Corps Portal, may apply for funding for Solidarity Projects; 
– All organisations participating need to hold either an Erasmus+ volunteering;
– The European Solidarity Corps is open to the participation of the following countries: the 28 Member States of the European Union can fully take part in all European Solidarity Corps actions. In addition, certain European Solidarity Corps actions are open to the participation of organisations from:
> EFTA/EEA countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway;
> EU candidate countries:Turkey, Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia;
> Partner countries
– For Volunteering teams:
> Eligible participants: young people between 18 and 30 years33 who are legally residing in a participating country or in a partner country and have registered in the European Solidarity Corps Portal;
> Each activity should involve minimum 10 participants to volunteer together. At least a quarter of team members must come from countries that are different from the country where the activity takes place. Young people can only be involved in one activity at a time;
> At least one eligible organisation from a participating country is required;
– For advance planning visits: 
> Representatives of participating organisations and participants with fewer opportunities taking part in the Volunteering Team activities
> 1 representative per participating organisation. The number can be raised, provided that all additional participants are volunteers with fewer opportunities taking part in the activity

* Activities have to take place in the country of one of the participating organisations
