Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To support Member States to reach the health targets of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
  • To reduce the burden of NDCs and related risk factors, targeting cardiovascular diseases and diabetes
  • To support the NDCs policies and corresponding actions led by Member States

Priorities

  • Priority 1: to complement Member States joint action on ‘Prevention of NDCs – Cardiovascular diseases and diabetes’
  • Priority 2: to contribue to reducing the burden of NDCs

Among financed actions

  • Design, planning and implementation of best practices
  • Public health guidelines
  • Pilot test of innovative practices
  • Communication on health inequalities
  • Partnership with civil society organisations and NGOs addressing health promotion and prevention
  • Promoting diabetes and cardiovascular diseases prevention
  • Developing communication material and activities in Ukraine

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: 36 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
  • Be established in an eligible country
  • Be an academia or a organisations supporting the priority areas (health professional associations, patients’ organisation, foundations, NGOs, etc.)
  • A consortium composed of at least 3 entities, established in at least 3 different EU Member States or associated countries to the programme must be constituted
  • At least 1 applicant must work with displaced people from Ukraine, or has activities on the ground in Ukraine or has activities linked to Ukraine and that is active in the field of diabetes and/ or cardiovascular disease patients or prevention actions targeting these diseases
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 23 million euro
  • Total budget of the topic “EU4H-2022-PJ-11”: 5 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: 500 000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 60 or 80% of the total eligible costs
