LIFE – Technical support to clean energy transition plans and strategies in municipalities and regions – 2022

Objective

To provide local and regional authorities with the necessary capacity to deliver and implement plans and strategies for the clean energy transition

Priorities

• Priority 1: To provide support to regional and local authorities and build their capacities to deliver, implement and monitor ambitious short and medium-term clean energy plans and strategies
• Priority 2: To aim at institutionalising holistic, integrated and collaborative energy planning in local and regional authorities, seeking approaches that facilitate the integration of clean energy

Among financed actions

• Providing capacity to local and regional authorities for delivering and implementing plans and strategies for the clean energy transition via :
  • Policies/plans/strategies established through the action
  • Policy-makers/public officers with improved capacity/skills
  • institutionalised collaborations/exchanges within and beyond public authorities, including peers, private stakeholders and/or civil society

• This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
• Initial duration of the action will be established in the Grant Agreement

Eligibility

• Be a legal person
• Be established in one of the eligible countries
• Be a consortium of at least 3 applicants from 3 different eligible countries

• Total budget of the call: 98 million euro
• Total budget of the topic: 7 million euro
• Amount of the grant: up to 1.5 million euro
• Co-financing rate: up to 95% of the total eligible costs
