Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To support and supplement the measures undertaken by the Member States
  • To assist the competent national and authorities in their efforts to develop among themselves and with the European Commission a close and regular cooperation and an exchange of best practices, where appropriate including third countries and international organisations

Priorities

  • To support activities aimed at improving cooperation among those Member States which are particularly affected by the production and distribution of counterfeits
  • To foster cooperation with authorities of third countries where there is suspicion, or evidence of, counterfeit euro production
  • To maintain an efficient framework for the protection of the euro in South Eastern Europe

  • Workshops
  • Meetings and seminars
  • Exchanges of staff of competent national authorities
  • Establishment of teaching resources
  • Studies (multidisciplinary and transnational)
  • Development of technical support instruments
  • Purchase of equipment to be used by specialised anti-counterfeiting authorities of third countries

Eligibility

  • Be a competent national authority in the area of the protection of the euro against counterfeiting
  • Be a single applicant

Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 600.000 euros
  • Funding rate: 75% of the total eligible costs (90% if the project is a “priority action”)
