The Erasmus+ programme supports actions in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020.
Between 2014 and 2018, more than 2 million students and higher education staff completed a period of study, training or teaching abroad under the Erasmus+ programme.
Today, the European Commission published the results of two new independent studies highlighting the positive impact of Erasmus+ on the lives of European students. According to the two new studies, the program allows students to be more successful in their personal and professional lives and contributes to making universities more innovative.
The main conclusions of these studies are that Erasmus+ helps students to find their professional path and to get a job quicker. It also strengthens the sense of belonging to the European Union and favors social inclusion.
