The Customs programme aims to support the Customs Union and the customs authorities in order to safeguard the financial and economic interests of the Union and its Member States, to ensure safety and security within the Union and to protect the Union from unfair and illegal trade while facilitating legitimate economic activities.

Objective

To support the preparation and uniform implementation of customs legislation and policy as well as the strengthening of administrative capacity and customs cooperation, including human skills, and the development and operation of European electronic systems.
