European Instrument for International Nuclear Safety Cooperation – 2021-2027

Programme to complement nuclear cooperation operations financed under the [IVCDCI Regulation], in particular with a view to supporting the promotion of a high level of nuclear safety and radiation protection and the application of effective nuclear safeguards in third countries.

Objectives

• Promote a genuine nuclear safety culture and implement the highest standards of nuclear safety and radiation protection and continuously improve nuclear safety
• Responsible and safe management of spent fuel and radioactive waste, and decommissioning and clean-up of former nuclear sites and installations
• Establishment of effective and efficient safeguard systems
