Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To foster bilateral, regional or multilateral synergies in the field of external border management
  • To support effective European integrated border management at the external borders, implemented by the European Border and Coast Guard as a shared responsibility of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency and the national authorities responsible for border management
  • To facilitate legitimate border crossings
  • To prevent and detect illegal immigration and cross-border crime and to effectively manage migratory flows

Priorities

  • Priority 1 – fundamental rights
  • Priority 2 – education and training
  • Priority 3 – research and innovation

Among financed actions

  • Joint testing of innovative technology or innovative approaches to the use of existing technology at the EU external borders
  • Joint trainings for the development of common curricula for EU Member States border guards’ development, learning and training
  • Joint exercises in data collection and use of shared databases
  • Joint development and sharing of best practices in terms of screening, processing and debriefing of migrants

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: 24 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal entity
  • A consortium composed of at least 2 entities, established in at least 2 different EU Member States or associated countries to the programme must be constituted
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 5 million euro
  • Total budget of the topic:
    • Topic BMVI-2022-TF1-AG-EBCG-1: 4 million euro
    • Topic BMVI-2022-TF1-AG-EBCG-2: 1 million euro
