CEF – CEF 2 Transport – Projects on the Core Network – General envelope – 2026

Objective

To modernise transport infrastructure on the TEN-T network with the purpose of facilitating traffic flows for rail and road transport at border control areas at the Union external border of the TEN-T network.

Priorities

• Priority 1: upgrading of existing border crossing points to allow the implementation of coordinated bi-directional controls
• Priority 2: projects located on the TEN-T European Transport Corridors

Eligibility

• Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
• Be established in one of the eligible countries:
  • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories)
  • Countries associated to the CEF Programme (list of participating countries)
• Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register before submitting the proposal

The grant awarded may be lower than the amount requested.

• Funding rate: maximum between 50% and 70% of the total eligible costs
