Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To promote citizens’ and representative associations’ participation in and contribution to the democratic and civic life of the Union including by making known and publicly exchanging their views in all areas on Union action
  • To support projects promoted by transnational partnerships and networks directly involving citizens

Priorities

  • Priority 1 – To promote democratic participation through debating the future of Europe
  • Priority 2 – To engage citizens and communities in discussions and action related to our climate and environment
  • Priority 3 – To engage citizens and communities in discussions and action related to solidarity
  • Priority 4 – To counter disinformation and other forms of interference in the democratic debate and promoting media literacy

Among financed actions

  • To promote societal engagement through debates, campaigns, awarenessrising, conferences, workshops etc. on the themes relevant to call priorities and providing a link to the European political agenda and policy making process
  • To gather the opinions of individuals through a bottom-up approach  and media literacy
  • To promote exchanges between EU citizens on EU-related topics to foster a better understanding of different perspectives
  • To identify possible solutions and recommendations to be submitted to the relevant local political authorities and decision makers

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 24 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be: a non-profit entity, private legal entity, or public university
  • A consortium composed of at least 2 entities, established in at least 2 different EU Member States or associated countries to the programme must be constituted
  • The following entities are only eligible as co-applicants: international organisation
Financement
  • Total budget of the topic: 25.4 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: min. 75 000 euro

The grant is a lump sump grant.
