Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To support projects aimed at commemorating defining events in modern European history, including the causes and consequences of authoritarian and totalitarian regimes
  • To raise awareness among European citizens, of their common history, culture, cultural heritage and values, thereby enhancing their understanding of the Union, its origins, purpose, diversity and achievements and of the importance of mutual understanding and tolerance

Priorities

  • Priority 1: democratic transition, (re-)building and strengthening society based on the rule of law, democracy and fundamental rights
  • Priority 2: strengthening the remembrance of the Holocaust, genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity to reinforce democracy in the EU
  • Priority 3: migration, de-colonisation and multicultural European societies
  • Priority 4: European integration and its defining achievements

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 24 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person (public or private entity)
  • For lead applicants: be non-profit legal entities (private bodies) or an international organisation
  • For co-applicants: be non-profit or for profit legal entities. Organisations which are profit-oriented may apply only in partnership with public entities, private non-profit organisations or with international organisations
  • A consortium composed of at least 2 entities must be constituted
Financement
  • Total budget of the topic: 10.2 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: at least 50 000 euro

This grant is a lump sum grant.
