Creative Europe – Circulation of European literary works – 2023

Objectives

• To support projects that will translate, publish, distribute and promote works of fiction

Priorities

• Priority 1: to strengthen the transnational circulation and diversity of European literary works
• Priority 2: to encourage the translation and promotion of works of fiction written in lesserused languages to increase their circulation to larger markets in Europe and beyond
• Priority 3: to reach new audiences for European literary works in Europe and beyond
• Priority 4: to strengthen the competitiveness of the book sector by encouraging cooperation within the book value chain.

• This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
• Initial duration of the acton: 36 months

Eligibility

• Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
• Be established in one of the eligible countries
• International organisations
• Entities without legal personality
• Associations and interest groupings
• Countries currently negotiating association agreements

• Total budget of the topic “CREA-CULT-2023-LIT”: 5 million euro
• Amount of the grant: the grant is a lump sum grant 
  • Small scale: projects proposing translation of at least 5 books can request up to 100 000€
  • Medium scale: projects proposing translation of at least 11 books can request up to 200 000€
  • Large scale: projects proposing translation of at least 21 books can request up to 300 000€
• Co-financing rate: up to 60% of the total eligible costs
