Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To establish a better detection of products non-compliant with the Union legislation entering the market;
  • To prevent products non-compliant with the Union legislation from entering the single market.
  • To support market surveillance authorities of the EU member States and members of the European Free Trade Association in the upgrade/development of IT tools used to perform non-food product market surveillance.

Among financed actions

  • Data collection:
    • System sophistication used by MSAs and development of a rating matrix;
    • Harmonisation of MSA systems at national / European level and development of a rating matrix;
    • Listing and description of the tools to control e-commerce;
    • Listing and description of the existing tools to perform market surveillance.
  • Data analysis and recommendations for action:
    • Presentation of the data collected in a clear and visual way;
    • Analysis of the data collected;
    • Recommendations for actions in the area of IT systems;
    • Ranking of the recommended actions based on relevant criteria.
  • Implementation of actions:
    • Top-ranked actions with an estimated budget for each action.

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.
  • Initial duration of the action: 24 months.

Eligibiliy

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies):
    • non-profit organisation;
    • public authorities;
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries:
    • EU member States
    • members of the European Free Trade Association.
Financement
  • Amount of the grant: 1,257 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 90% of the total eligible costs
