Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To build capacity of VET providers to strengthen cooperation between private and public stakeholders in the field of vocational education and training for demand-oriented and opportunity-driven VET interventions
  • To improve the quality and responsiveness of VET to economic and social developments to enhance the labour market relevance of skills provision
  • To align VET provision to local, regional and national development strategies

Priorities

  • Priority 1: work-based learning (for young people and/or adults)
  • Priority 2: quality assurance mechanisms
  • Priority 3: VET teachers/trainers professional development
  • Priority 4: key competences, including entrepreneurship
  • Priority 5: Public Private Partnerships in VET
  • Priority 6: innovation in VET
  • Priority 7: green and digital skills for the twin transition
  • Priority 8: skills matching with current and future job opportunities

Among financed actions

  • Each region (Western Balkans, Neighbourghood East, South-Mediterranean countries, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Caribbean) has its own priority and will contribute to their respective geographic Multi-annual Indicative Programme
  • Project activities must focus on building and strengthening the capacities of organisations active in the field of VET principally in the third countries not associated to the Programme covered by the action
  • Creating and developing networks and exchanges of good practice between VET providers in third countries not associated to the Programme and in EU Member State or third country associated to the Programme
  • Creating tools, programmes and other materials to build the capacity of institutions from third countries not associated to the Programme
  • Creating mechanisms to involve the private sector both in the design and delivery of curricula and to provide VET learners with high quality work-based experience
  • Developing and transferring pedagogical approaches, teaching and training materials and methods, including work based learning, virtual mobility, open educational resources and better exploitation of the ICT potential
  • Developing and implementing international exchange activities for staff primarily

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: 12, 24 or 36 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person (public or private entity)
  • Be VET providers, companies, industry or sector representative organisations, national/regional qualification authorities, employment services, research institutes, innovation agencies, regional development authorities
  • A consortium composed of at least 4 entities, established in at least 3 different EU Member States or associated countries to the programme must be constituted
  • The number of organisations from EU Member States and third countries associated to the Programme may not be higher than the number of organisations from eligible third countries not associated to the Programme
Financement
  • Total bugdet of the topic: 27 million euro
  • Total budget per region: between 300 000 and 8.6 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 100 000 and 400 000 euro

This grant is a lump sum grant
