Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To upscale renewable energy solutions and increase energy efficiency
  • To support the development, implementation, monitoring and enforcement of relevant Union legislation and policy on the clean, sustainable, and just energy transition
  • To facilitate the transition toward an energy-efficient, renewable energy-based, climate-neutral and -resilient economy

Priorities

  • Priority 1: building a national, regional and local policy framework supporting the clean energy transition
  • Priority 2: accelerating technology roll-out, digitalisation, new services and business models and enhancement of the related professional skills on the market for the clean energy transition
  • Priority 3: attracting private finance for sustainable energy
  • Priority 4: supporting the development of local and regional investment projects
  • Priority 5: involving and empowering citizens in the clean energy transition

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries:
    • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories)
    • Non-EU states: listed EEA countries and countries associated to the LIFE Programme (list of participating countries)
  • Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register before submitting the proposal.
  • The coordinator must be established in an eligible country.
  • A consortium composed of
    • at least 3 applicants (beneficiaries; not affiliated entities) from 3 different eligible countries must be constituted (LIFE-2026-CET-HEATCOOLPLAN, LIFE-2026-CET-POLICY, LIFE-2026-CETRENEWHC, LIFE-2026-CET-BETTERRENO, LIFE-2026-CET-INDUSTRY, LIFE-2026-CET-DIGITAL, LIFE-2026-CET-EMPOWER, LIFE-2026-CET-ENERPOV, LIFE-2026-CET-ENERCOM)
    • at least 1 applicant from an eligible country must be constituted (LIFE-2026-CET-BUILDSKILLS, LIFE-2026-CET-PRIVAFIN, LIFE-2026-CET-OSS, LIFE-2026-CET-PDA)
