On October 25th, the EU’s Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides announced she will reinstate operating grants (OG) for health NGOs in the EU4Health programme.
Last summer, the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA), European Patients’ Forum (EPF), Alzheimer Europe, and Eurordis (Rare Disease Europe) organised a campaign under the hashtag #SaveEUHealthNGOs to ask for the reinstatement of OGs for health NGOs in the EU4 Health programme. In response to the campaign, a virtual meeting took place between Commissioner Kyriakides and the four skateholder on October 25th, where the the Commissioner assured that operating grants for NGOs will be maintained.
