Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To allow schools and VET providers (ISCED 1- 4) to build knowledge about the EU among their teaching staff
  • To offer structured training proposals on EU subjects for schools and VET providers, provide content and methodologies for teacher teaching at various levels, from different backgrounds and experience
  • To deliver specific individual or group training courses (modular, residential, blended or online) for teachers interested in the EU and willing to integrate EU subjects in their daily work
  • To foster the confidence of teachers in integrating an EU angle in their daily work

Priorities

  • Training about teaching methodologies in order to address European Union matters
  • Learning experiences on European Union subjects which complement already existing courses (collaborative learning among classes, co-teaching)

Among financed activities

  • Provision of ad hoc guidance for selecting the training
  • Physical, on line and/or blended training
  • Better equipped teachers through the acquisition of methodologies to teach European Union matters
  • Increased capacity to teach EU subjects
  • Increased knowledge on EU subjects
  • Extended offer of specific training by organisations providing initial and/or in-service teacher training

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: 3 years

Eligibility

  • Be an Higher Education Institution or one Teacher Training / Education Institution/Agency providing initial and/or in-service training to teachers of schools and/or VET institution
  • The applicant and participing organisations must be established in an EU Member State or a third country associated to the Programme
Financement
  • Amount of the grant: 300,000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 80% of the total eligible costs
