Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To raise awarness, inspire behaviour, and lead the thinking in European society, on how sport can enable and accelerate social and environmental transformation
  • To engage EU citizens to actively participate in sustainable measures using the communicative power of sport, its major events and leading role models
  • To contribute to the implementation of the New European Bauhaus initiative

Priorities

  • Priority 1: to focus on examples of inspirational behaviour and practices at grassroots level that can be multiplied
  • Priority 2: to focus on methods to engage citizens and sport stakeholders in communities to co-create and cooperate on sustainable sport practices

Among financed actions

  • To collect and share knowledge on new behavioural approaches needed to make the sport sector more environmental sustainable
  • To develop approaches allowing sport to become a model of sustainability espacially for European young generation
  • To present and implement socially and environmentally sustainable solutions for sport events

Additional information

  • This call is an open call for proposals
  • Only applications by single applicants are allowed
  • Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 18 months

Eligibilty 

  • Be a legal entity (public or private) in one of the eligible countries
  • Be an organisation active in the field of sport (sport federation or club) which regularly organises sport activities and competitions
  • Be an organisation which has activities in Europe, a European dimension or European impact
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 1 437 074 euros
  • Amount of the grant: up to 400 000 euros
  • Co-financing rate: up to 80% of the total eligible costs
